Sardinia: remote anchorages, perfect water — and patchy coverage.
Every summer the Costa Smeralda becomes one of the Mediterranean's superyacht hotspots. The most beautiful anchorages are often the most remote, and the villas along the coast are lived in for only a few weeks a year. Connectivity here has to be planned, not hoped for.
On site by appointment · monitoring remote
What is typical here
- Assets
- Superyachts in Porto Cervo and at anchor around the La Maddalena archipelago, villas on the Costa Smeralda, private aircraft at Olbia.
- Season
- Short and intense: July and August, with regattas in early summer and in September.
Local challenges
Remote anchorages
Around the archipelago and along the coast, mobile coverage varies strongly. Without satellite failover, the yacht goes offline.
Protected waters
The La Maddalena archipelago is a national park with its own rules — yachts often lie further out than planned, which affects the links.
Houses used a few weeks a year
Villas stand empty for most of the year. Updates, cameras and alarms have to work without anyone on site.

Questions
Is 5G enough on the Costa Smeralda?
In Porto Cervo often yes, at remote anchorages rarely. We combine 5G with Starlink and, depending on the yacht, VSAT.
Can you prepare our villa before we arrive?
Yes. We check link, cameras, Wi-Fi and devices remotely and on site before your stay.
