LeewardPrivate

Worldwide · by arrangement

We follow the fleet.

Many yachts spend the summer in the Mediterranean and the winter in the Caribbean, in Florida or in the Gulf — and their owners' homes, aircraft and families move with them. Leeward plans before the crossing, monitors from Hamburg across time zones and comes on board wherever the yacht lies, by arrangement.

How we work worldwide

  1. 01

    Before the crossing

We survey the yacht in the Mediterranean before the Atlantic crossing or delivery trip — while yard, crew and integrator are still within reach.

  2. 02

    On passage and abroad

Links, devices and backups are monitored remotely from Hamburg. Updates run in agreed windows, across time zones.

  3. 03

    On site by arrangement

When work is needed on board or at the residence, we travel — or brief and supervise a vetted local partner.

Where the fleet spends the winter

  • Antigua · St. Barths · British Virgin Islands

    Caribbean

    Season: December to April

Charter season with changing guests and island-hopping between countries and mobile networks. Satellite links and separate guest networks matter most.

  • Fort Lauderdale · Palm Beach · Miami

    Florida

Season: Winter, with yacht shows in autumn and spring

Refits, yacht shows and owners' homes close together — a good moment for specifications, acceptance tests and a security review of the residence.

  • Dubai · Abu Dhabi · Doha

    Dubai & the Gulf

    Season: November to March

Winter base for many yachts and families, with residences, private aviation and family offices in one region. Data location and access rules need deliberate planning.

  • Malé · Mahé

    Maldives & Seychelles

Season: Varies, often November to April

Remote anchorages far from shore infrastructure. Connectivity depends on satellite links — and on a plan for when they fail.

Questions

Can you really support a yacht in the Caribbean from Hamburg?

Yes, for everything that can be done remotely: monitoring, updates, access reviews and incident response. For work on board we travel, or brief and supervise a vetted local partner.

Who pays for travel?

Travel and days on site are quoted transparently as part of the fixed fee or project and agreed in writing before we start.

Does Starlink work on an Atlantic crossing?

Starlink's maritime service covers large parts of the oceans, but coverage, plans and rules vary by region and change over time. We plan a second link and check current coverage for your route before the crossing.
